Overview

MCP DeskManager — Browser Bridge ("the Extension") is a Chrome extension that enables DeskManager desktop software to interact with your browser tabs. This privacy policy explains what data the Extension accesses and how it is handled.

Data Collection

The Extension does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data.

The Extension does not use analytics, tracking, cookies, or any form of telemetry. No data is sent to external servers, cloud services, or third parties.

Local Communication Only

The Extension communicates exclusively with localhost:8348 — a local HTTP server running on your own computer as part of DeskManager. This connection never leaves your machine. No data is transmitted over the internet by the Extension.

What the Extension Accesses

When commanded by the local DeskManager software (and only after user permission), the Extension can:

All of these actions are performed locally and the data stays on your computer.

Permissions Justification

PermissionWhy it's needed
activeTabCapture screenshots and execute content scripts on the current page
tabsList open tabs, switch between tabs, create/close tabs
scriptingInject scripts to read page content, find elements, click buttons, type text

No Remote Code

The Extension does not load, execute, or fetch any remote code. All JavaScript is bundled locally in background.js. The only network communication is HTTP polling to localhost:8348.

User Control

The AI software must always ask for explicit permission before accessing your browser. You can disable or remove the Extension at any time from chrome://extensions.
